Among the Gorse to Settle Scores mini-album released.
26th June 2020
The Rowan Amber Mill
have been spending lockdown recording some new
versions of traditional songs. They have been
working againwith the wonderfully talented Kim Guy (after a 10 year
hiatus) and have already released the singles Blackleg Miner, Black
is the Colour and Rufford Park Poachers.
We are pleased to announce that a new six track mini-album, which is called "Among the Gorse to Settle Scores"
has today been released and is available to order over on Bandcamp.
The mini album is available as both a download and as a Deluxe Edition
with three double-sided prints, four stickers, two metal badges, a
hand-numbered limited edition certificate and a retro vinyl CD-r, all
housed in a full colour deluxe metal tin.
Among the Gorse to Settle Scores has received some very fine reviews including:- "There’s a new mini-album on the shelves. And what a gem it is."
GoldMine Magazine. "As delightfully eerie a treat as you could hope to expect from a dirge of dark subject matter without getting too down about it."
Terrascope Magazine. "What you’ll find on this EP is slightly eerie psych-rock interpretations of such classics as “Black Leg Miner” and “Black is the Color,” that could easily belong in a modern folk horror film."
